Marie Thomsen

One can truly say that Marie has been into hair and makeup for ages. At the age of nine she already knew that painting faces and styling hair was her calling and she has been working her wonders ever since.

While her friends were having tea parties with their dolls, Marie prefered styling hers. Many a sweet doll has had its hair shortened and face coloured at her creative hands and impressive as it sounds, she was cutting real hair on her friends by the age of ten.

Less impressive were the initial results, but gladly – to the relief of many of her friends’ mothers – her skills quickly improved and she continued her artistic development through her teens.

After the school years Marie desired to learn more about the technical side of her craft and attended hairdressing school in her home town of Århus. This was followed by a move to our capital and a position as assistant to one of Copenhagen’s busiest hair and makeup artists. Here she was given a good foundation of the art of makeup and all the beautiful images she saw being created, only inspired her to do more and work harder.

Six years ago Marie made the step up and began working as an artist in her own right

- and how right she is!
